Frequently Asked Questions

1. This is NOT swim lessons but a competitive swim team. 

2. 10 and under first time swimmers must complete a time trial prior to joining the team. The standard rule is across the pool unassisted under 1 minute.

3. Swimmers are subject to a Coach assessment the first week of practice before officially joining the team.

4. Point races are broken up by gender and age 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and 15/18. 

5. We have 8 swim meets a season 4 Home and 4 Away.

6. Swim Meets last approximately 4 hours and are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the month of June.

7. Not everyone qualifies to swim at each swim meet. The coaches do their best to get swimmers in races however please remember that the top 2 times for each event swim for points. The exhibition lanes will race based on availability.

8. Heat Sheet will be emailed prior to the swim meet. This will show you what event(s) your swimmer will be in that night.

9. You must purchase a swim team suit for meets. 

10. Practice is for Coaches to work with swimmers, not to conference with parents.

11. All swim families must volunteer.  (signupgenius) 

12. All swimmers must go on team store to receive a team shirt as well as purchase any other needed team gear.
